ShopNeeti ("we", "our", "us") operates the website shopneeti.in and the ShopNeeti mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

a) Information You Provide

• Account Information: Phone number (for login via OTP), name, email address, business name, business address, GSTIN.
• Business Data: Items/inventory, customer records, invoices, payments, expenses, employee records, delivery subscriptions — all data you enter into the platform.
• Payment Information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed through third-party gateways (Razorpay/UPI). We do not store your card or bank details.

b) Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, screen resolution.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, error logs.
• IP Address: For security, rate limiting, and analytics.
• Cookies: Session cookies for authentication. No third-party tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the ShopNeeti platform
• To authenticate your identity via phone OTP or Google Sign-In
• To generate invoices, track inventory, and manage your business data
• To send transactional SMS (OTP, invoice notifications) via MSG91
• To improve the platform based on usage analytics
• To provide customer support
• To comply with legal obligations (GST compliance, tax reporting)

3. Data Storage & Security

• Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Mumbai, India.
• All data transmission is encrypted using SSL/TLS (HTTPS).
• Database access is restricted and requires authentication.
• We use tenant isolation — your business data is separated from other businesses and cannot be accessed by them.
• Passwords (for admin accounts) are hashed using bcrypt.

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your data. We share data only in these cases:

• Service Providers: MSG91 (for OTP SMS), AWS (for hosting), Google (for Sign-In). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority.
• Your Customers: When you share invoices via WhatsApp or the customer portal, your customer sees their invoice/payment data from your shop.

5. Your Rights (DPDP Act 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data.
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your account and data.
• Data Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format.
• Withdraw Consent: You can stop using the platform at any time.

6. Data Retention

• Your business data is retained as long as your account is active.
• If you request account deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days.

We use essential cookies only — for authentication sessions and demo mode. We do NOT use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party cookies. You can clear cookies by logging out or clearing your browser data.

8. Children's Privacy

ShopNeeti is designed for business owners aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of ShopNeeti after changes constitutes acceptance.
